Integral RFID Services

Integral RFID was founded as a consultancy company from day one, but has since expanded to offer a number of world-class, RFID-related products. However consultancy is still a primary focus of the company, and Integral RFID continues to reach-out and share its extensive academic knowledge and real-world experience to clients around the world.

EPC-Compliant Services for Supply Chain Mandates

Integral RFID has designed, installed and maintained solutions for RFID Supply Chain mandates around the world. Clients include CPG giants such as Nestle and Unilever, logistics heavyweight NYK Logistics, and Wal-Mart suppliers such as Hallmark.

Consulting for Label Convertors

Integral RFID has amassed a great deal of experience and intellectual property over the past years in the area of tag testing and programming. In turn we pass this knowledge on to the growing number of RFID Label Convertors in the world. This knowledge takes the form of site-visits, software solutions and hardware recommendations, all of which enable the Label Convertor to produce the best quality RFID tags possible.

Closed-Loop Custom Solutions

Integral RFID specializes in custom-designed, closed-loop RFID solutions. This is where our wide area of expertise and experience really elevates us from our competition. Solutions deployed over the last two years have included UHF passive tags, HF passive systems, Semi-Passive and Fully Active RFID systems. The following brief list hints at some of the more interesting projects undertaken:

  • Polar Bear Tagging utilizing commercially available Active systems. Tags were modified for cold-weather operation and application to bears. Custom-antennas were used to achieve exceptional read-ranges (>1500 feet), and the whole system prepared for mounting underneath helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. See the Wilderness Asset Tracking page for further details.
  • Beehive Tagging using specially modified Active systems. Solutions were designed and built to operate in the middle of rural locations where power and communications lines are not always present. Active tag systems were eventually combined with Bluetooth wireless and Cellphone technology to enable low-cost, fixed and moving asset tracking solutions for remote locations.
  • Submarine Tagging using modified, commercially available Passive systems. Further details cannot be disclosed at this time.
  • Teaching and Education

Integral RFID consultants are no stranger to presenting RFID classes and educational seminars. All members of the company have presented some of the industry's biggest RFID education courses over the past few years, including Alien Academy (both in USA and Europe) and WJ Compact Reader College in San Jose.

Integral RFID also assisted CompTIA (on CompTIA's request) in establishing their new RFID+ certification course, destined to become the industry standard training course over the next couple of years.
